Ajax has received former player Siem De Jong from Newcastle
Newcastle midfielder Siem de Jong has completed a permanent move back to former club Ajax.
Manager Rafael Benitez as clear decks in hope of making further signings.
The 28-year-old has ended an injury-plagued three years stay at St James Park to rejoin the club he left in 2014 for Tyneside.
“Sirm de Jong has completed a permanent transfer to Dutch side Ajax.” A Newcastle statement wrote, “The 28-year-old returns to the Amsterdam Arena, where he made 200 appearances before signing signing for the Magpies in the summer of 2014.”
The Netherland international scored two goals in 25 appearances for the Magpies, before he was sent out on loan to PSV Eindhoven last season.
