Chelsea are on the way of landing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the Stamford Bridge this summer
Chelsea have reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports.
It was first reported by Sky Sports on Monday mining..
If a deal can be completed before the window close on Thursday, the 24-year-old will help Chsea at the attacking midfield.
However, Oxlade-Chamberlain still has one year left on his contract at Arsenal but the coach Arsene Wenger has decided to let go of him this summer.
Meanwhile Wenger had formally said in is speech two weeks ago that he wanted to keep Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilsher at the Emirate this summer even it meant losing both on a free transfer next season.
“I rate him highly and he is one of the players who is on his way up,” he said of Chamberlain on August 16, “in the last year, he has made a huge progress and personally I want him to stay here for a long time.
“I’m convinced he will be the English player that everybody will look at in the next two years.”
Chelsea have also been linked with Leicester’s Danny Drikewater and Everton’s Ross Barkley this summer.
